The Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) in partnership with the European Union (EU) is implementing a joint 3-year grant partnership that seeks to build the capacity of the Non-Governmental Sector in the Caribbean through the implementation of a number of specific actions.

CPDC invites UMBRELLA NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS to apply for a small grant which would aid in their ability to efficiently and effectively provide services to their beneficiaries/members throughout the region. Apply Now! – Online NGO Management Certificate Course

As part of the Civil Society Regional Development Project which is funded by the European Union, the Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) is happy to announce our continued partnership with the University of the West Indies, Open Campus, for the online NGO Management Certificate Course.  While there is no direct cost to the scholarship recipients, there is a registration fee of $100 USD which will be reimbursed upon successful completion of the course. Both application forms must be completed in order to qualify for the CPDC Scholarship.

The course will be conducted only through distant/online modalities. The participants have to be based in the CARIFORUM region and affiliated with an NGO.

Call for Applications – Project Consultant (Governance)

The Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) in partnership with the European Union (EU) is currently undertaking a joint 3-year grant partnership that seeks to build the capacity of the Non-Governmental Sector in the Caribbean.

Under this Civil Society Regional Development Project which aims to improve the regional and national CARIFORUM civil society organisations’ (CSOs) effectiveness in regional development and integration processes, the CPDC is seeking to recruit a Project Consultant responsible for the Governance portfolio.

Application Requirements:

  • A Master’s Degree in a Development field plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant social science field plus 5 years’ experience working in the development sector in the Caribbean;
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder processes and meetings;
  • Proven experience conducting research on relevant development topic;
  • Knowledge of key governance issues in the Caribbean and also in the NGO sector;
  • Strong project reporting competences (technical reports, policy development and analysis); and
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Call for Applications – Capacity Building Officer

The Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) is currently accepting applications for two (2) Capacity Building Officers for an anticipated USAID-funded Local Capacity for Local Solutions project that will focus on ten countries in the Eastern and Southern Caribbean (ESC) region.

Application Requirements:

  • A Master’s Degree in a Development field plus a minimum of 3 years experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Social Science field plus 5 years experience working in the development sector in the Caribbean;
  • Experience coordinating decentralised multi-stakeholder processes;
  • Proven experience providing technical support to NGOs and other development actors to improve institutional and programmatic capacity;
  • Technical expertise in capacity building issues in the Caribbean NGO sector (project cycle management, financial management, proposal writing, advocacy and lobbying, strategic planning);
  • Strong project reporting competencies (technical reports, policy development and analysis); and
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Apply Now! – Online NGO Management Certificate Course

As part of the Civil Society Regional Development Project which is funded by the European Union, the Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) is happy to announce that we are partnering with the University of the West Indies, Open Campus, to launch the online NGO Management Certificate Course. It consists of two courses which are MGMT 073: Essentials of NGO Management and MGMT 074: Developing and Managing Projects in NGOs. There will be three cycles of the course with the first one commencing in August 2017. The course is scholarship based; there would be no cost to the participants. All successful candidates will be required to supply a letter of endorsement upon acceptance into the programme.

The course will be conducted only through distant/online modalities. The participants have to be based in the CARIFORUM region and affiliated with a NGO.

Call for Applications – Consultant Project Administrator

The Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) in partnership with Pro NGO! e.V is seeking to undertake an 18-month grant partnership under the European Commission (EC) that seeks to promote sustainable livelihoods among Eastern Caribbean farmers. Under this partnership, the Project will be implemented in three (3) Caribbean countries. It is in this context that the Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) is seeking to recruit a Consultant Project Administrator.
