The CPDC is seeking to engage the services of an Independent Financial Auditor to conduct an independent audit of the project titled “Multi-Actor Partnerships (MAPs) for Pro-Poor and Gender-Equitable Climate Risk Financing in the Context of the InsuResilience Global Partnership’s (IGP) 2025 Vision” funded by CARE Deutschland e. V.
Purpose and Objectives:
The purpose of the audit is to provide an independent and professional opinion on whether project funds have been used:
- In accordance with the project agreement and BMZ funding conditions
- For their intended purposes
- In compliance with applicable financial management and accounting standards.
Summary of Responsibilities:
1. Fund and Resource Management
- Assess management of project funds to verify alignment with project objectives and activities.
2. Financial Records and Reporting Verification
- Verify financial reports, ensuring all project revenues and expenditures are properly recorded and supported by relevant documentation.
- Review financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness in line with auditing principles and donor guidelines.
3. Compliance and Documentation
- Conduct testing on a representative sample of transactions.
- Assess project documentation for completeness and correctness to confirm adherence to relevant regulations, agreements and funding requirements.
4. Audit Standards
- Conduct the audit in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and equivalent national standards.
5. Audit Reporting
- Prepare the Independent Audit Report and Audit Certificate in accordance with ethical and professional standards, and donor requirements.
