Advocacy

Advocacy refers to the act of lobbying/bringing awareness to issues which affect the marginalized in society. Advocacy involves taking action to promote or prevent changes in policies or practices that impact entire groups of people. Advocacy can take many different forms, but efforts are typically designed to educate or mobilize people around an issue of interest in an attempt to persuade an individual or group to make a decision regarding the issue that might not otherwise be made.
