Request for Proposals – Consultant to Deliver Training Workshop to Small Farmers Eastern Caribbean

The Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) in partnership with the Inter American Foundation (IAF) is undertaking a project that seeks to increase the sustainability of small farmers through disaster risk mitigation and resilience building in the three (3) Eastern Caribbean countries of Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica. CPDC is desirous of contracting a consultant to undertake three two-day training workshops in Dominica, Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines for twenty small farmers in each country. The training will focus on disaster risk mitigation strategies and techniques to enable farmers to adequately prepare for a range of natural hazards particularly those linked to the climate change impacts.

The Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) in partnership with the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives is undertaking a project that seeks to increase prepared and building resilience of women small farmers in three (3) Eastern Caribbean countries of Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica. CPDC is a regional NGO representative and is seeking to procure the services of a qualified candidate(s) to undertake a two-day training workshop for 15 farmers in the application of disaster risk reduction methods and climate change adaption techniques.

Expression of Interest – Project Manager

The Grenada Community Development Agency (GRENCODA) has received funding from the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF) Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Facility towards the implementation of the project entitled: “Building Community Resilience and Ecosystem Based Adaptation to Climate Change in Selected Communities along the West Coast in Grenada” (the “Project”). The Project will be implemented between January 2020 and December 2022 as the grant’s scheduled closing date.

The Grenada Community Development Agency (GRENCODA) through this project plans to enhance resilience of fisheries and community livelihoods to climate change impacts through the rehabilitation and restoration of watersheds and coastal resources utilizing an EbA approach.  GRENCODA is therefore seeking to hire a Project Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of the Project, including all substantive and administrative matters.

EXTENDED Call for Proposals – Financial Management Consultant

The CPDC in partnership with USAID is implementing a three-year project titled Local Capacity for Local Solutions (LCLS). The USAID/ESC Local Capacity for Local Solutions project is focused on building the managerial, organizational, and administrative capacity of selected NGOs, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or intersex (LGBTI) organizations; utilizing innovative methods and approaches to support them in expanding services and improving sustainability in the ESC (Eastern and Southern Caribbean) region. As part of this, CPDC will be developing various capacity building materials to support the improved managerial, organizational and administrative capacity of NGOs.

In this regard, we are seeking to recruit a Consultant to facilitate a three (3) day Financial Management Workshop hosted by the CPDC.  The Consultant will be required to develop the capacity of civil society by training 25 NGO leaders in the area of Financial Management to ensure adequate financial implementation and management of financial resources in line with the strategic goals of their organizations.

Expression of Interest – Consultancy to Peer Review Strategic Plan and Develop Training PowerPoint

The CPDC in partnership with USAID is implementing a three-year project titled Local Capacity for Local Solutions (LCLS). As part of this, CPDC will be developing various capacity building materials to support the improved managerial, organizational and administrative capacity of NGOs.

As part of the capacity development materials under the Local Capacity for Local Solutions project, CPDC is desirous of developing materials to help NGOs understand the strategic planning process. This includes providing guidance on the best practices in the development of a strategic plan and its elements.  CPDC also has a strategic plan template which it is seeking to improve. Therefore, this Consultancy is for a peer reviewer to review the preexisting template as well as provide recommendations for the updating of said template. The Consultancy will also include the development of a power point presentation based on the updated template which can be used by NGOs.
