The Global Media Monitoring Project (GMMP) is the world’s longest running and most extensive research on gender in the news media. It began in 1995 with volunteers in 71 countries around the world each monitoring the presence of women in their national radio, television and print news. In 2015, the Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) took part in the Caribbean Regional GMMP monitoring process.
