INTERN – PROGRAMME SUPPORT (2 Positions), I (Temporary Job Opening)
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. The Governance Affairs office engages with and guides all relevant stakeholders ranging from Member States, major groups and stakeholders as well as business and the private sector. The two internship positions under recruitment are both located in the Civil Society Unit, Governance Affairs Office, Nairobi, Kenya. The Civil Society Unit engages on civil society matters and ensures effective participation of major groups and stakeholders in UNEP’s work at all levels. These allies and partners to UNEP provide long-term, broad-based and essential support for UNEP mission and mandate.
The duration of the Internship is three months minimum; maximum is six months.
The Internship is unpaid and full-time.
Interns work five days per week (35-40 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.
