KEY OBJECTIVES
To address Child Sexual Abuse and violence through:
Prevention & Educational Programs; and
Direct Service Provision.
MAJOR /CURRENT ACHIEVEMENTS:
Our Child Advocacy Centres (CACs) are recognized for providing exceptional quality of mental health services in Guyana & the Caribbean;
The launching of 3 additional CACs in priority areas;
Fostered key partnerships with professionals who challenge systems that violate the rights of children and build a safer community; and
Facilitated training for professionals in areas such as: forensic interviewing , court support for traumatized children, and through informative workshops which equip professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to provide trauma informed, developmentally appropriate and child friendly services.
