KEY OBJECTIVES
To empower children with knowledge and skills to claim their rights, to protect themselves, and be agents of change in their families and communities;
To empower families, caregivers, community groups, service providers, duty bearers and other stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to protect children by preventing the violation of children's rights; and
To intervene to restore health, safety and security for those children whose rights to life, survival and development have been violated.
MAJOR/CURRENT ACHIEVEMENTS
Three hundred and thirty eight (338) victims of child sexual abuse received counseling and forensic interviews;
More than six thousand (6000) children were sensitized about child abuse and children's rights; and
Research was undertaken and reports produced on the experience of children in institutional care, child neglect, child sexual abuse and trauma and its effects on victims of child sexual abuse.
