Community Education Empowerment & Development – CEED
To move marginalized groups in Barbados from beyond societal, social and political boundaries to assist with the overall development of marginalized communities.
A Barbados where persons live their lives to their full potential.
Marginalised groups such as : LGBTI, People living with HIV (PLWHIV), and persons with physical disabilities.
To establish an organization and learning centre to assist in the provision and promotion of community specific projects and programmes;
To educate, empower, and develop persons from marginalised communities through offering on site basic literacy and skills building and vocational training to encourage self sufficiency; and
To collaborate, support and facilitate necessary and suitable ongoing national/community based projects and programmes for marginalised groups , specifically persons who are marginalised based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression , physical disability or HIV status.
The establishment of the Community Education Empowerment Project 1&2 ( C.E.E.P) which offers free skills building and remedial classes to persons from the surrounding community and is funded by the Maria Holder Memorial Trust; and
The establishment of an Adult Evening Health Clinic, which offers basic health services and consultancies every other Saturday.
