KEY OBJECTIVES
To engage the youth and community for positive change;
To provide mentoring to youth; and
To create resources for youth led projects.
MAJOR/CURRENT ACHIEVEMENTS
Created the Road to Geneva project which was a youth led Child Rights research & Advocacy Project aimed at raising public awareness on children's rights and to encourage and facilitated familiarization with related governmental, as well as NGO policies and laws; and to engage youth in the UN CRC Monitoring / reporting process;
Partnered with the International Youth Foundation to implement the Caribbean Youth Empowerment Project (CYEP) which provided skills development training for at risk youth;
Collaborated with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) (GEF) to implement the Good Food Revolution Organic training project which sought to create a national environment that promoted healthy food consumption, revolutionizing food production by removing toxic chemicals and harmful GMOs from the Saint Lucian Food Chain; and
Launched the SAFE SPACES Community Leadership development and Peace Promotion program which aimed at creating a more peaceful and productive society, that is on a sustainable path of healthy community development.
