To foster a sense of community identity by providing resources and opportunities to promote self determination, through education, vocational training, civic engagement and community enrichment and participation;
To provide effective programmes that enhances the well being of community members and also to help meet their basic human needs, with particular attention to the needs of empowerment, education, and health of youth;
To create an equitable, supportive environment to promote social and restorative justice among delinquent juveniles;
To promote numeracy and literacy among youth and adults;
To successfully advocate on issues that are relevant to the Sophia Community through partnerships and networking with both local and international aid Organisations; and
To establish a broad stable resource base in order to be able to effectively support the Sophia Community through job creation, apprenticeship placement and enterprise.
The creation of the "Second Chance" Programme which was established in 2016 and offers free classes to students in a variety of subject areas such as English Language, Mathematics, Principles of Accounts and Agriculture Science.
